That's jacked up. You would be better off canning the CJ axles and stepping to waggy or scout D44's. CJ axles, even wide trac's, are too narrow to be run on a YJ frame.
I am looking for either a service shop or a fellow offroader to be able to weld new spring perches.. Let me explain, I have a CJ with a YJ frame with CJ axles what happen is the previous owner welded new perches on CJ axles to I think put on YJ springs, But the perches are about 1" off center So I need help. Lets just say I have no idea how he got the springs on..btw he put CJ springs on and just squeezed the shackles togther to make it fit... It is kinda hard to explain but basically I need the old perches removed and new ones on so they line up... Front and back. I have all new lift kit to replace the really twisted springs.... I am located in western PA about 1 1/2 north of pittsburgh 20 min east of youngstown... I just dont have the tools or know how to do this job...![]()

So your saying it cant be done? I called Meridian and they said they could do it, but are concerned the perches might hit the Differental on the front....
My setup is a Chevy 350 on a th350 Transmission hooked up to a d300 Transfer case..
Now if I were to get YJ axles what all will I need to replace? I am looking at the best and cost effective way to do this. Since I just dropped 3,000.00 in the crate motor, so my jeep fund is real low.... I will take any advice..

I'm no expert, but i'd go scout axles or waggy axles, I WOULD NEVER GO WITH YJ AXLES i.e. disconnect 30 front and 35 rear LOL.

But I will still need spring perches welded on still?

The waggy axles are the easiest and most cost effective. If you are still sprung under 79 back D44 fronts will nearly bolt in. They will be right hand drop to match your D300 t case. The rear will need spring perches welded on but that's a easy thing. Look for a 86 - up waggy D44 for the rear as they are centered.
