    Thrust washers... Where to get?

I was installing my aussie and when I inspected the thrust washers, one was cracked. The washers have what looks like a chrysler symbol cut out in the washer, which makes it a weak spot and my crack is right there. This is for my 29 spline 8.25 axle in my XJ.

Is this a dealer only item? Does Meridan sell thrust washers? What should I expect to shell out for one or two thrust washers?

I think my washers are like .027 thick or so.

This is what I learned on NAXJA:
The shims come in varying thicknesses. The Service pack has 4 sets of shims.Pick the one closest to what you have.
I used part #04883085 That # was good in 2000 when purchased-
The shims are marked--- none(0) .032 thickness
    triangle .037
    Square .042
    Diamond .047
Also listed in the instructions are packages #4131293 and # 4131294
The stamped symbol you saw was the thickness code.

I went to the dealer and they had #4883085 in their part catalog for $33. The guy said he has no idea of thickness of this part or what it comes with. I'm hoping since it's $33 that it comes with a variety of sizes. I don't see how two side washers can cost $33.

Yeah they are just flat thrust washers that go on the side gears.

Got the part today. The kit comes with a variety of sets of washers with different thicknesses. Perfect.

Now back to installing that damn aussie.

That was too easy. Took about 30 minutes to install the aussie once I got the washers. Now I'm happy cuz I can climb little dirt piles in 2wd...

Sucked that my gf snapped that picture while I was glancing at this guy who ran from his car to the outhouse (brady's run park). I think he had a major case of the shits.
