    1976 DJ5 postal jeep

    Jeep For Sale:

    1976 AM General Postal Jeep DJ5F: 232-inline Six Chrysler TF727 Dana 44 3:07 Posi

    History:
I bought this Jeep Back In December of 06. I bought it because I had always wanted one. Itís has been my daily driver since I bought it. I drive it on average 10 miles a day. When I purchased the jeep I did some research and found out that it was originally part of the postal system in Chattanooga TN.

    New Parts:
In the course of owning the jeep I have replaced the following things:
Remanufactured Master Cylinder (Previous Owner put on new front brakes).
    New Fan Belt
    New Water Pump
    New Head Gasket set
    Head Surfaced and pressure tested
    New Valve Stems Seals
    4 New Shocks
    New Upper Radiator Hose
Changed Rear Differential Fluid 80w 90-Limited slip
    New Dash Lights
    New Exterior Light
    New Rear U joints
Flushed and filled Brake system with DOT 3
    Oil Change
    Coolant Flush
    New Plugs
    New Air Filter

I have all the receipts from the work I have preformed on the jeep.

    Parts Included:
It was my intention over the course of the next year to convert the jeep to 4-wheel drive.
I have 2 sets of wheels and tires so a total of 10 Wheels and tires
1974 CJ Dana 30 Drum Brake front end 373 ratio
Dana 44 Trac-Loc Carrier with 373 ring and pinion
    Speedometer Cable
Used But Very good condition Clutch Flywheel and Pressure Plate for 232-t150
Old School Chiltonís 45-81 Jeep manual.
    Ball joint Lower
    Stereo with 2 speakers

    What it needs:
The jeep will be needing the following:
Ball Joints 3 I have 1 included they are about $15 a piece at Napa. Jeep Currently Drives fine with what is on it.
Exhaust Hanger There is in a intermittent noise from the exhaust banging against the shock.

    Bottom Line:
I bought the Jeep for 800 dollars locally with none of the above work done or extra parts. I have over 500 dollars in all the extra parts. I need to get out of the Jeep for $1100.00 I may trade for a small 4x4 pickup or some suzuki samurai parts. Please email me or call me at (440) 666-5649. I can send you pictures or you can come drive the jeep. The jeep is located in Columbus, Ohio.

    Hi,

I'm Looking for after market stuff for the samurai. 456 ring and pinions, lockers, 4:1 case, Wheels with the proper offset, Bumpers or rock sliders. Or a running Tin Top Samurai or tracker/kick.

if you are going to run 4:1 case you won't need 456 gears. you can't run any more than a 33"s with the stock axles so 4:1 is slow enough.

i don't have much in after-market parts. i do have a 94 sidekick 4 door with 32's. it has a 1.5"sus lift and a 2" body lift. it has a welded front diff, skid plate and a front tube bumper. the body needs work (rockers front fenders body mounts) but it runs and drives great. my family has owned it since 96 and it has had all the regular maintenance done. the body it just starting to get bad(like every suzuki) i have the stock rear bumper, stock front diff, and some other stuff laying around that can go with it. if you are interested i i have a bunch of pictures.
