Looks like my last 2 HP30 ring gears. 30 can be built strong, but yeah, that ring gear is always a huge weak point... 44 is a great option if you can't go with huge tires to compensate for the 60 diff hanging too low.

Can't say I've ever seen someone putting a giant non-steering axle in the front of a Jeep

But a shaved 14bolt for the back and a shaved 60 for the front would be sweet!!!

    axles are strange

seen my buddy wheel his TJ with a 4:1 case, 5 speed, LP30, rollin' on 37's all through Paragon's Hardcore trails without any issue

then i've seen people bust em on 33's

I still think the HP30 in the front of my Grand on 33's will be fine

The 35 held up to your 34" LTBS just fine. I think the manual helps, and the fact that you know how to drive it...

Josh has a HP30 jay, I think I sold it to him but I really dont remember how long ago, or it may have just been shafts I sold him??? Either way its a hp30 in his heep.

Good hp gears with good bearings (very important) and a good set up will take more abuse than the shafts will 100% of the time... while traveling forward. If they fail there was a reason, be it set up or bearing deflection or they can self destruct in reverse. There is always a reason, a "method to madness" I guess you could say. LP 30's are weak however.
